Well maybe that was just my location… Another version beholds that this time around Apple managed to create enough iPads to please all “premiere” customers, who definitely were not disappointed and did not leave Apple shops empty-handed! Apps: New Menace in the Personal Security Game

It has been brought to attention by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) that smart phone applications can be more sinister than expected. Invading privacy, these apps can collect such important data as numbers, contacts and logs. This came out into the light when a few companies were found collecting such data illegally (i.e. without permissions).
Truth be told, this has happened before, but the companies in question were punished with nothing more but a fist shake. Talk about control! And control is needed, as it is personal privacy that is being violated! Can you imagine someone you don’t know going through your contacts and your logs? … continue reading this entry.

Google enters the Laptop market

It seems Google once again wants to give Microsoft a run for its money, after previewing the first laptops which are to run on the company’s Chrome operating systems. The laptops are slated for sale in June, and are in direct competition with Microsoft’s monopoly of the industry.

The computers were unveiled at a Google conference for software developers in San Fransico, and are affectionally now dubbed “Chromebooks”. It will use the operating system which is based mostly on Google’s Chrome we browser.

Prices start at a moderate $349, and a lot of buzz has been surrounding its release as a possible competitor to Microsoft.

Tips to follow to write more effective SEO copy

When writing copy for Search Engine Optimization, many people still underestimate the level of consideration which goes into a successful online marketing campaign. There are specific aspects you will need to take into consideration, and doing so will ensure you tap maximum benefit out of your writing and achieve more impactful and successful SEO marketing copy.

SEO writing tip 1 – Write for the Right audience

As an SEO copywriter, your first obligation is to your readers, contrary to popular belief. Your main audience is the exact visitors you are ultimately trying to attract to your site, and not Google. In order for your copy to augment your online marketing campaign with regards to bookmarks, high ranking search results and backlinks, you will need to achieve the correct balance between your human audience and writing search engine friendly copy.

SEO writing tip 2 – Your entire campaign’s victory rests on this

If you take the time to write insightful, well-constructed and keyword rich copy, but target the wrong keywords your entire online marketing campaign will fall flat on its face. You will have wasted all your time while your site still dwindles in the low ranks with no relevant or convertible traffic coming its way. There are fantastic tools at your disposal which will help you research which keywords to target – these tools include Google’s AdWords and WordStream, to name but only a few.

SEO writing tip 3 – Keyword density

The last thing you want to do is anger Google’s feisty crawlers, or spiders as they are commonly known. And one of the best ways of putting them off is to stuff your content with too many keywords. This is certainly tantamount to spamming where Google is concerned, and that is the equivalent to the kiss of death in SEO realms. Accurate keyword density should be calculated at about 3 – 10%, and once again there are fantastic tools available to help you along the way.

Following these simple tips will help you gain the most benefit out of your SEO copywriting, and help you pull off successful online marketing campaigns time and again.

Major labels to face antitrust suit

Three of the world’s largest record labels are set to face antitrust lawsuits due to alleged price fixing. That’s not major news to anyone, as this case has been discussed at length in the media for a while now. What is disturbing is that once again a speedy resolution for all is held up by what purists love to quote: due process.

Why can’t all parties involved get through the process and get what’s coming to them without having to be bogged down by appeal after appeal for every single decision handed down?

Now what I don’t understand is how they can fix the prices of tracks at 70 cents, up from 25 cents, and blame illegal downloads and distribution for their flailing profits?  Don’t they know that by making it that much more expensive they are only cultivating a breeding ground for a generation of illegal downloaders? You can honestly find any song you want for free online in no more than 2 minutes if you have a bit of PC savvy.

Honestly, I feel these people behind the labels need to get with the 21st century already.

Who says Windows phones aren’t popular too?

It seems this Microsoft is trying to equate itself with the success of its rival iPhone when it bragged to the world that it shifted more than 1.5million of its Windows Phone 7 handsets. To my cynical mind of course, this just screams “Napoleon complex” but Microsoft is still a huge player in the ring.

This phone is a beauty, no doubt, and Microsoft would have had a real chance at making a dent in the market, had Apple’s iPhone not already laid claim to such a large amount of it.

Although it didn’t cost Microsoft so much to make and produce the phone, the giant has already spent more than half a billion dollars on marketing the phone.

Although not nearly as impressive as Apple’s sales figures, this number is nothing to be sniffed at. It would seem as though the power really lie in the hands of the consumers.
